Master Developer candidates submit their CMP proposals
Monday June 2nd, 2008 - 6:01PM
The two remaining contenders for the Master Developer slot heading up the CMP project submitted their plans to the non-profit Community Maritime Park Associates Board of Trustees Friday, May 30, and they saw first light when they were distributed to Trustees Monday, June 2, at a workshop for new members of the Board.
One team contending for the job is made up of Trinity Capital Advisors, Weston Solutions, and Smith Cypress Partners, each with different skills with Trinity taking the leadership role.
The other is Land Capital , which describes its team as, "local, minority, women-owned and small business operators . . . twelve of our consultants are local Pensacola businesses with well earned reputations in the community."
On June 13, the candidates will make in-person presentations to the Trustees. The wining candidate should be selected within 30 days following that presentation.
The selection of the Master Developer is the last preliminary step necessary to clearly define the direction and timeline for the park's construction. The park must also conclude getting all permits from relevant local, state and federal regulators, and secure its financing before construction can begin. It's anticipated groundbreaking should occur in the August to November timeframe.
Friends is going over the proposals and will have a digest for you tomorrow (Tuesday, June 3, 2008).
