Subject: Waterfront Park
Dear Sam,
The most vibrant, alive, and prospering cities that Kathy & I have been in, both in this country and in France & Germany, have been waterfront towns that have a university campus in the city proper.
Pensacola needs more affluent people to move here and they have to have a reason to do so. The 10 million or so retirees in this country that will be deciding where to live the rest of their lives very soon will look at Pensacola much more favorably if we have something like the Maritime Park and the University of West Florida continues to expand downtown.
That is why Kathy & I support the efforts of the Maritime Park Group and the new Maritime Museum and suggest that all the City & County leaders support and assist their efforts to make this happen.
Thanks,
W. Ted Brown
